In this video, Pilentum presents the famous steam locomotive DRG Class 01 in 1/45 scale. This steam locomotive was the first strong steam express passenger locomotive in Germany that was built between 1926 and 1938 for the German Federal Railroad.
Later, the steam loco was also used for freight service. The top speed was 125 km/h or 79 mph (forwards) and 50 km/h or 31 mph (backwards). The video was taken on a very old model railroad exhibit in Germany, called Modellbahn Eversum. On this railroad layout, built in O gauge or 1/45 scale, any toy train is made by hand.
