The model railway layout or model train layout is a replica of a small railway station in the 1950ies. This exhibition layout and model railroad layout was built in very realisic and original way. The tracks and the landscape profile are built on Styrodur. Behind the model railway is a staging yard.
As background panoramic images were used, which were installed on the rear wall of the railway system. The German model railway club Modelleisenbahnclub Mittelschmalkalden constructed this miniature world. It is difficult to tell the difference between the exhibition layout and the original landscape.
