This truly beautiful model railway layout was built in HO scale by the German model railroad club, called MEC Wuppertal. This model train layout is also the centerpiece in exhibitions. The model railroad has got an area of 70 square meters on two levels. There are more than 400 meters of tracks and 110 switches. The two levels are connected by a twin-track, five-fold helix.
The focus of this model railway layout is the large central station with seven platforms. Behind the station there is a typical German city, and of course there is a tramline. Lead from the main station there are four main lines directing to other model landscape and sections. There is also a line of high-speed trains for the famous ICE and Thalys train. Pilentum was making magnificent cab rides along the whole railroad for discovering the beautiful details.
