The best way to explore a model railroad layout is doing a train cab ride. Therefore, we are going to discover another model railroad exhibit in this video. This layout, respectively this model railway exhibition was opened some years ago in Germany. It is called “Oktorail”, a permanent model train show of 400 square meters that mostly uses trains made by Marklin. The exhibition is divided into different sections. For example, the old Ruhr area in Germany, an industrial landscape known for its blast furnaces, steel and coal industry.
In another section Germany is presented with modern streets, big cities and with a very large central station. By the way, this is the largest central station in HO scale Pilentum knows. In another section the Alps are presented. The landscape consists of high mountains and alpine regions. Unfortunately, Pilentum could make the video recordings only during the visitor hours. Therefore, only short train rides were shot. Anyway, enjoy this miniature world and, as you are used to from Pilentum, feel like a train driver.
