This model railway layout was designed by the German artist and model maker Hans Poscher. His layout, showing the famous forestry railway and funicular of Covasna-Comandau in Romania, has been presented and honored at many model train shows in Europe. In 1997, Hans Poscher visited the village of Covasna in Romania and he found this funicular in reality.
Immediately after this trip to Romania, he was thinking about modelling this trains, cable cars and funicular as a scale model. He build this railroad system with all the details, especially with the platform carriages, with the station house, with the machine house, with the track system, etc. The model train layout is built in 1:43 scale or O scale narrow gauge with a track width of 16.5 mm. Houses, switches and rolling stock were almost completely made by hand. Rails are taken from the manufacturers PECO and TILLIG.
