This model railway layout was designed by the German model train club, called “MEC Wuppertal”. Originally, the layout was constructed on an area of five square meters as a modular system based on the narrow-gauge railways of the famous Rhaetian Railway. The model railway layout depicts the landscape of the Albula Valley in Switzerland. This is where the locomotives and trains of the Rhaetian Railway and the famous Glacier Express run. The addition of bridges, viaducts and tunnels increased the area of the layout up to ten square meters.
