This is a truly beautiful and highly detailed model railroad layout built in HO scale. There are two double-track main routes leading to and from the central station, and that central station is a railhead. There is a depot with a turntable and with a roundhouse, too. The entire model railroad layout corresponds to the early days of the German Federal Railroad in the 1950's and 1960's years.
There are trains with diesel locomotives, freight locomotives and steam locomotives. The model train club Eisenbahnfreunde Taunus, who has built this model train layout, placed extremely high value on an authentic operation. A total of about 500 meters of track have been laid in HO, which corresponds to the original approximately 43.5 kilometers of track. The model railway layout is located near Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
